what couldve cause thisTiming gear sprocket broke oil shot out out of engine somewhere what couldve caused this?
look for a hole in the engine block side if there is none ,then You are lucky guy.

if you see a piece of metal hang in there, is what they called connecting rod.( or what it last from it)Timing gear sprocket broke oil shot out out of engine somewhere what couldve caused this?
either the timing gear sprocket broke the valve or timing cover or cam/crank seal, or if its variable valve timing, it came from the sprocket itself as the variable timing is oil driven inside the sprocket.
