Dose a lancer 2003 manual gear need any oil change for the gear system?

Yes. The oil in the gearbox is very heavy. It is gear oil and has a weight of 85W-140. It is NOT the same type of oil as is in the crankcase, which is much thinner (5W-30 up to 20W-50) and flows much more easily. You should change the transmission oil every 25,000 miles or about every year. It gets no carbon by-products in it as a result of burning gasoline, but it will eventually get small particles of iron in it as the gears wear against each other. If the seals are old and dried-out, you might also get water in your trans, and that's a bummer, too.

Automatic transmissions use a light hydraulic oil, which is completely different from gear oil.Dose a lancer 2003 manual gear need any oil change for the gear system?
hello. Im a vehicle engineer. Not only lancer, but also every other cars and machines need oil for their gear boxes. If your car is second hand, if you feel that can not easily change your gear, on of the solution can be changing oil, This fault can come from clutch system and .... If you would like tell me more that I can exactly get what is your problem.
