Does anyone know where in the engine the oil goes for the gear box?

for a rover 214 siDoes anyone know where in the engine the oil goes for the gear box?
Engine oil goes in the engine, not the gear box.Does anyone know where in the engine the oil goes for the gear box?
I'll assume that by Gearbox you mean the transmission. The trans-fluid (not engine oil) goes into the transmission directly. If its an automatic there tends to be a dipstick somewhere under the hood and you could either put it in there (slow) or look around for the cap. A manual transmission requires that you go underneath and there is a drain and fill plug on the trans itself, if you arent familiar with vehicles i wouldnt reccomend doing it yourself.

If infact you are referring to the diffirential (and your vehicle is rear-drive) there is a plug on the diffirential itself. On a FWD the Diffirential is integrated with the trans in what is known as a transaxle however they sometimes use different lubrications so i would reccomend referring to the service manual.
