1977 yamaha DT250 GEAR BOX OIL?

IS THERE A SEPERATE SPOT TO PUT GEAR BOX OIL OR IS THAT RUN ON YA NORMAL MOTOR OIL....1977 yamaha DT250 GEAR BOX OIL?
Gear box oil should be a high grade motor oil with good shear protection. Kendal GT 10w-40 is a good choice. Don't mistake the gear box oil with the oil injection oil for the 2-stroke engine. That goes into a separate place and is a different oil.1977 yamaha DT250 GEAR BOX OIL?
The plug for the gearbox oil is on the..........gearbox! There might be a dipstick integral with the filler cap, but don't worry if there isn't - because the gearbox oil doesn't do the motor as well, as it does on 4-strokes, it never gets very dirty and there is often something seriously wrong if the level changes very much over time. Don't forget to keep checking the motor oil level regularly - that's the one that goes down steadily on a 2-stroke. If you run out, it's death to your motor.
