any were all auto centers have is gl5 they say its the same but mine calls for gl3 some body helpI am trying to find out if its ok to put gl5 gear oil in my scooter 49cc it calls for gl3 but i cant find it
GL3 and GL5 are different,
but the difference is that GL5 is Heavier Duty oil
It has about Twice as much anti-wear ingredients.
GL3 is medium duty oil.
You can use 3,4 or 5
So,,GL5 is actually Better for your bike than GL3.
It far exceeds GL3 properties
