I have a 93 f 150 4x4.. 5 spd manual.what type of trans fluid do i use..gear oil or atf?

the haynes manual says to use gear oil..allot of pple say to use mercron atf. also when i take off in 1st. 2nd and sometimes 3rd. the truck feels like its going over real bad speed bumbs, like the ones on the side of the interstate. like a real bad vibration.. only sometimes...to make it stop i can disengage the clutch and continue in that gear and the chattering/jarrinng/shaking usually stops. i have 33 inch swampers on it and they have all been balanced by a shop and installed..there's also a metal sqeeky sound coming from under the truck.. what could be the cause of itI have a 93 f 150 4x4.. 5 spd manual.what type of trans fluid do i use..gear oil or atf?
Use SAE 70 non-hypoid gear oil in a manual Ford transmission. Check the driveshaft and U-joints for the bad vibration and strange noises.I have a 93 f 150 4x4.. 5 spd manual.what type of trans fluid do i use..gear oil or atf?
what's your question? the gear oil thing is easy. don't put atf in a manual transmission.
