Does anyone know if it ok to use GL-5 gear oil instead of GL-3 in a manual transmission??

I forgot what the classifications meant, but one GL has limited slip lube in it for positraction rear ends. You do NOT want that in a manual transmission or it will cook your bronze synchronizers.

Take the time to find the right lube.Does anyone know if it ok to use GL-5 gear oil instead of GL-3 in a manual transmission??
If your trans uses GL3 , it is ok to use GL5, if not sure what type of lube it uses find out first. some people try to fix noises by using heavier fluids such as GL3, but you can get shifting problems such as hard to go into gear.
