Gear oil change necessary or not? ?

I have Toyato automatic gear, car, and I drived 150000 km so far.One of Garage guy asked me to change Gear oil.

But I didnt faced any problem for Gear system.

Does this make a huge difference in shifting/driving?

Is it worth it to change it?Gear oil change necessary or not? ?
most actal 'gear lubes' are rated at around 100k, some 150k, but those are in gear boxes like differentials and manual transmissions (often rated to 60k (all distance in miles), however automatic transmissions are different. they are rated from 15-50k depending on the year make and model (some GM's used to be rated at 100k, but they had too many trans issues and GM changed the rating on them to 50k) actually, at 150k km, (about 93k miles) you really should be on your second or third fluid change. it will help shifting, fuel economy and transmission life.Gear oil change necessary or not? ?
Yes it is advisable to have an automatic transmission cleaned aand flushed about every 75.000 miles, more often is used under heavt conditions such as towing. It is just like changing the oil in your engine, it should be done on a schedualed basis, when in use transmissions have wear to the parts and these microscopic particles are suspended in the oil and need to be removed periodically.
Just because your asking I would assume this car's owners manual has not been looked at for some time. Regular lubricant and fluid changes are essential for long life. But you must replace each fluid with the correct viscosity and type. Comsult the maintence section look at the chart and you will notice that at around 60,000 k the transmission gear oil should have been changed.
After that much driving it is worth it to change it. The oil looses its positive qualities after time and it gets dirty. You probably will not notice any difference, but it will increase the life-span of your gearbox.
The gear oils in transmissions and differentials should be changed at least once a year. The lubricating properties of the oil breaks down over time from its use. If you have not changed it before now, It is long overdue.
The cleaner the oil the better it is for the car, it's not going to cost a lot is it ? Get it done as you have clocked up a fair old mileage
should increase its life.
