My volkswagon 1996 jetta GLdoes not move when in gear does it need a filter and oil change?

Check your transmission fluid. If its low add some. If it not low or you added some and it still don't move change your filter and your fluid. If it still don't move its time to rebuild the transmission or get a new car.My volkswagon 1996 jetta GLdoes not move when in gear does it need a filter and oil change?
sounds like it needs a new tranny....sorry about thatMy volkswagon 1996 jetta GLdoes not move when in gear does it need a filter and oil change?
Too late. It sounds like your transmission is destroyed. Check out how much an overhaul will cost.

Remember~ changing your fluid and filter shouldn't make your transmission work better. If it does, something is wrong.
Does it run? If it does, something's wrong with the transmission.
I hope this is a joke and if not you dont deserve a vw!
If it has manual transmission it looks like your clutch has gone, if it is automatic then it looks like your transmission is faulty.
